2026-10-10 21:05:16
According to CoinMeta, as reported by decrypt, the Finance Committee of the French National Assembly has passed two amendments to crypto taxation laws. These amendments include treating the exchange of stablecoins regulated by MiCA as taxable sales, imposing taxes on individuals who transfer crypto assets worth over 800,000 euros out of France, and allowing investors to carry forward losses from crypto asset investments for a period of 10 years. On October 9th, the committee voted 31 to 3 against the budget revenue-related part of the amendments, which will not be automatically incorporated into the law. Supporters will need to re-introduce these amendments during debates starting on October 13th, with a formal vote scheduled for October 20th.
