CoinMeta data: On October 11, 2025, the crypto market experienced a historic slump, with daily liquidation amounts across the network exceeding $19 billion, setting a new record. Bitcoin reached a historical high of $126,080 on October 7, but around 16:50 Beijing time on October 11, the price of BTC fell to $102,000 within 30 minutes, a decrease of 12.7%. During the slump, several trading platforms experienced extreme price discrepancies; ATOM once fell to $0.001 on Binance, Coinbase hit a low of $3.56, Wbeth on Binance dropped to $430, Bnsol fell to $34.90, and USDE dropped to $0.65. Following the incident, Binance paid approximately $283 million in compensation to affected users. In addition, on-chain data shows that a certain Hyperliquid whale completed a short position of about $400 million in BTC before Trump released tariff-related news, sparking speculation about insider trading. Arkham referred to this individual as a "Trump insider whale," but the person in question Garrett Jin denied any connection to Trump, and the allegations have not been confirmed.
