Bloomberg Strategist: Bitcoin Has Become a "Puppet" of U.S. Stocks
2026-10-12 18:11:07
According to CoinMeta, Mike McGlone, a senior commodity strategist at Bloomberg Industry Research, stated in an interview with Wealthion on October 1st that the correlation between Bitcoin and the U.S. stock market is quite high, and Bitcoin's higher volatility makes it increasingly resemble a "puppet" controlled by the U.S. stock market. He pointed out that Bitcoin has fallen by about 4% this year, while the S&P 500 has risen by about 3%, and Bitcoin has also lagged behind the stock market over the past five years. McGlone also mentioned that he still believes Bitcoin could fall to $10,000, and that there is currently no reason to change his opinion, suggesting that the entire crypto market is still in a process of "cleaning up."
