According to CoinMeta, the privacy stablecoin payment project payy has announced the initiation of a user compensation claim process in response to the attack on the Ethereum cross-chain bridge contract on September 24th. The claim period is 30 days, and eligible users will receive compensation in the form of USDC through the Ethereum network. payy and wallet have currently suspended services and will be permanently closed after the end of the claim period. payy stated that due to its privacy architecture, it is not possible to directly confirm the balance of user wallets. Therefore, the claim form requires users to provide the payy mnemonic phrase, which is said to be used exclusively for the payy application.
