The company will become the largest buyer of Bitcoin in 2026, increasing its holdings by 193,000 BTC

CoinMeta Data: According to the latest research report from the Bitcoin financial services platform River, companies became the largest buyers of Bitcoin for the second consecutive year in 2026, accumulating a total increase of 193,000 BTC throughout the year, driving the global corporate holdings to 1.64 million BTC (about 7.8% of the total Bitcoin supply). However, the total amount of capital flowing into companies this year was $15.7 billion, which is a sharp decrease of about two-thirds compared to the same period in 2025. The report identifies three main reasons for the slowdown in growth: the speculative fervor of so-called "Bitcoin treasury strategy companies" has subsided, with net purchases mainly being dominated by Strategy and Strive. Large mining companies, due to the need for substantial capital expenditures in transitioning to AI computing power infrastructure, have cumulatively sold 32,800 BTC throughout the year. Traditional companies have slowed their adoption pace amid the bear market, but the total number of listed companies holding BTC still increased by 10% during the year. Among them, Robinhood and SpaceX, which went public in June, disclosed holdings of over $1.5 billion each.
