According to CoinMeta, and as announced by Upbit, South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange, the platform will cease trading of SOPH / KRW, SOPH / BTC, and SOPH / USDT on November 16th at 14:00 (Beijing time), and will also end support for withdrawals on December 16th. Upbit stated that Sophon ( SOPH) has multiple shortcomings regarding significant information disclosure, changes to the token circulation plan, and the transparency and rationality of related decision-making processes, which may harm investors' interests. This token was listed as a cautionary investment asset on September 22nd, and after further review, the relevant issues remain unresolved, hence the decision to terminate trading support. Sophon was originally a consumer-grade network built on ZKSync zk stack, mainly targeting gaming, entertainment, and social applications. In June of this year, the project announced a gradual cessation of independent blockchain operations and a shift towards developing consumer-grade applications based on Base.
