According to CoinMeta, a federal judge rejected the joint application of Gemini and CFTC to revoke a $5 million settlement agreement. Gemini and CFTC had previously sought to revoke the agreement on the grounds that it violated principles of fair law enforcement and involved improper litigation tactics, citing President Trump's favorable attitude towards the crypto industry. Alvin Hellerstein, the federal district judge in New York, ruled that these reasons were not sufficient to support the revocation and pointed out that Gemini had voluntarily signed the agreement.
