According to CoinMeta, stablecoin issuer Circle plans to expand into around 50 emerging and developing markets to meet the demand for digital US dollar payments in Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. USDC has a circulation of about $73.3 billion, accounting for roughly one-quarter of the stablecoin market. USDT holds nearly 60% of the market share, which is higher than that of USDC. Circle acquired Tazapay for $400 million, newly launched a ARC blockchain, and was granted a federal trust bank license, which is expected to support its market expansion.
