QCP Capital: Credit Risk in Infrastructure Sector Replaces Inflation as Major Market Concern
2026-10-16 19:12:26
CoinMeta data: In the latest market report, it is indicated that credit risks in the infrastructure sector are replacing inflation as the main concern for the market. Although U.S. inflation rose 3.7% year-on-year in September, exceeding expectations, U.S. Treasury yields fell from high levels, and investors turned to long-term government bonds as a safe-haven. The stock price of CoreWeave, a computing power service provider, plummeted by 15.5% in a single day. According to data cited by CoinMeta, the implied default probability of its five-year credit default swap is close to 63%, sparking concerns about the debt risks of AI companies. It is also noted that QCP has decided to adopt new non-operating company index qualification criteria, which may affect the index composition of some companies, with Bitcoin treasury company Strategy facing the potential risk of being excluded. QCP believes that as the financial reporting season for tech companies approaches, the market will focus on evaluating the leverage levels and debt repayment capabilities of infrastructure companies to determine whether current credit pressures will further spread.
