Reason enables Claude Code and Codex to distribute tasks across computers: they can communicate with each other, but automatic code conflict prevention is still not available yet.

According to CoinMeta, Reason has introduced Reason Network, enabling Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Opencode, and other manufacturers' agent to communicate directly across computers and assign tasks. This system allows agent to send and receive messages directly without the need for human relaying. Developers can real-time check which agent members of the team are online, which repository they are modifying, what branch they are using, and what they are currently busy with. Each computer runs a lightweight background program, and communication is possible directly within the same local area network. For cross-network communication, a point-to-point connection is established first; if that fails, messages are transmitted through encrypted relays. However, the feature advertised by Reason to avoid code conflicts has not been fully implemented, nor has the function to automatically detect multiple agent members modifying the same file simultaneously. At this stage, coordination mainly relies on sharing work status among agent members.
