Ripple stated that over the past decade, they have been building together with thousands of others on the XRP ledger. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse also welcomed the account, saying that its arrival was long overdue. On the day of its launch, the trading price was around $1.30, with a 2.11% increase in the past 24 hours. The account is jointly managed by the Ripple and XRP ledger foundation, and the profile mentions that "XRP is the native token of the XRP ledger, a decentralized blockchain built for payments." Despite having just joined Twitter, the account has already attracted 21,700 followers.
