According to CoinMeta, the Ethereum Foundation announced on October 16 that the glamsterdam upgrade is scheduled to be activated on the hoodi testnet at 01:42 Beijing time on October 27. At that time, the block gas limit will be increased to 200 million, in line with the previously upgraded sepolia testnet. This upgrade focuses on introducing the separation of proposers and builders within the protocol (epbs) and block-level access lists (bal), allowing for parallel verification of transactions, thereby enhancing Ethereum's layer execution capacity. It also adjusts the gas pricing mechanism for state creation, data access, and other operations.
