According to CoinMeta, the founder of Hermes announced plans to establish a AI game studio, with the aim of delegating multiple aspects of game development to AI agents, including writing game logic, creating character and scene materials, and managing music and sound effects. Developer Luke suggested that multiple sub-agents collaborate with each other, with a dedicated agent ultimately testing the game and providing feedback to bug. Teknium listed the capabilities that need to be developed, such as 3D model generation, animation, sound effects, as well as integration with Unity and Godot game engines. All these functions will be implemented through plugins without modifying the core of Hermes. Hermes already possesses programming skills, image generation capabilities, and the ability to coordinate with sub-agents. The official team has previously released a Blender plugin and supports using MCP to control the Unreal Engine editor. A similar approach was previously attempted in the open-source project Claude Code Game Studios.
