According to CoinMeta, Derek Brown, the Attorney General of Utah, USA, has filed a lawsuit against the prediction market platform Kalshi and two Susquehanna affiliated trading companies in the Third District Court of Utah, accusing them of illegally providing sports and event contracts to local residents. The lawsuit seeks to prohibit residents from accessing these contracts, compel compensation for losses, recover illegal gains, and request the court to declare the relevant platforms to constitute a public nuisance. Utah estimates that Kalshi collected fees ranging from 30.6 million to 61.2 million US dollars from accounts in the state, with over 32,000 Kalshi accounts registered under the names of Utah residents.
