BlackRock: The corporate credit sector is experiencing high returns on a "once-in-a-generation" scale

According to CoinMeta, BlackRock stated that current corporate bonds offer a more resilient source of returns and do not rely on expectations of "lower interest rates" or "narrowing interest rate spreads." In its quarterly fixed-income outlook released on Wednesday, BlackRock pointed out that it is now possible to construct a diversified fixed-income portfolio with yields exceeding 7%, a duration of less than three years, and an average credit rating of A-. Due to the resurgence of inflationary pressures and interest rate hikes in Europe and the United States, current yield levels have reached heights that have only appeared briefly in the past three years and can even be compared to those during the global financial crisis. Although corporate financing demand remains strong, investment-grade bonds are providing investors with a rare opportunity to lock in exceptionally high returns. James Turner, head of BlackRock's fixed-income business, said, "These are high-yield levels that come once in a generation. Compared to the 2010s or early 2020s, investors can now obtain the same returns from what were previously considered safer investment options, without having to take on higher risks."
