According to CoinMeta, a latest report from Bloomberg states that DeepSeek has completed its second round of financing of 100 billion yuan, with Tencent and CATL being among the largest investors. This round of financing was initially planned to raise 50 billion yuan, but the target was raised twice thereafter. Despite the doubling of the financing amount, the pre-investment valuation remained at around 500 billion yuan. At the end of June this year, DeepSeek just completed its first round of financing of about 51 billion yuan, with founder Leung Man-fung contributing personally about 20 billion yuan. Based on the scale of this round of financing, the total amount raised from both rounds is approximately 150 billion yuan. In this round, new and existing shareholders are each planned to contribute about half of the total amount. CATL added an additional 10 billion yuan, and Tencent also continued to contribute about 10 billion yuan. New investors include Shixi Capital, SMIC Juyuan, CPE Yuanfeng, Legend Capital, and Geely, among others. DeepSeek is also preparing for the Science and Technology Innovation Board IPO, with plans to submit a listing application by the end of this year and aim to be listed in 2027.
