Turkey promotes export boom with cheap drone defense systems
2026-10-22 12:26:14
According to CoinMeta, Turkey has promoted growth in defense exports in regions such as the Gulf and Ukraine by utilizing an automated air defense system that can destroy attack drones for just $10,000. Governments around the world are seeking cost-effective means to defend against large-scale drone attacks. Ahmed Akkoylu, CEO of Aselsan (the highest-valued defense company in Turkey), stated that the company's "Korkut" artillery system has been deployed in nine countries and has destroyed "perhaps hundreds of" drones. This system is capable of defending against "suicide" drones similar to Iran's "Qomolang" series.
