CoinMeta data: A North American crypto economy report released by Chainalysis states that as of the third quarter of 2026, there were a total of 138.5 million transactions using the x402 protocol on the base network. Over 87% of the transaction amounts fell within the range of $0.0001 to $0.1, with the most common transaction amounts being between $0.01 and $0.1. In x402 transactions with identifiable geographical origins, US wallets accounted for 88.1%. Additionally, from July 2025 to June 2026, Canada made cross-border transfers of stablecoins and Bitcoin totaling $2.36 billion to China, India, and the Philippines, with each transfer amounting to less than $10,000, representing a year-on-year increase of 141%, with an average transaction amount of $663. The report suggests that the low-cost settlement of stablecoins is driving the development of cross-border remittances and ai proxy micro-payments.
