According to CoinMeta, Meta Platforms Inc indicates that the company has signed multiple leases and contracts, with a total commitment to spend approximately $825 billion in the future, of which a large portion will be allocated to artificial intelligence computing power and related infrastructure. Regulatory documents submitted by the company on Thursday show that there are operating leases and finance leases with a value of $355.7 billion that have not yet been reflected on the balance sheet, covering data center and energy infrastructure leasing projects that will commence from the remainder of this year until 2036. As of September 30th, Meta also has $454.5 billion in irrevocable short-term and long-term contracts, most of which are related to third-party cloud computing power and data center energy agreements, as well as hardware products consumed by the Reality Labs department. Meta also stated that there is a maximum obligation to purchase cloud computing power of $14.7 billion over the next five years; however, this amount may be reduced if cloud service providers resell the computing power to other customers.
