According to CoinMeta, bitcoin news indicates that eclair lightning node users should upgrade to v0.14.5 in order to fix a security vulnerability. acinq released v0.14.4 on October 15th to fix a vulnerability that allowed malicious websites to exploit API credentials to trigger operations, and on October 20th, it released v0.14.5 to fix a vulnerability at the node peering layer. Developers stated that this vulnerability posed a risk of channel partners stealing funds or interfering with payments. No financial losses have been reported yet, but after the update, the browser dashboard will no longer be able to communicate directly with node API.
