Ripple Launches Major XRP Ledger Upgrade to Improve Cross-Border Payment Efficiency
2026-10-23 00:21:09
CoinMeta Data: Ripple today announced a major XRP Ledger upgrade to enhance the cross-border payment capabilities of its native stablecoin RLUSD. This upgrade is part of a new cooperation agreement signed between Ripple and the global liquidity and settlement platform ARF, aimed at providing short-term working capital for licensed payment companies to help them maintain liquidity while waiting for international transfer settlements. ARF will provide RLUSD settlement liquidity on XRP Ledger, enabling payment providers to conduct transactions without locking up large amounts of capital. The repayment period for this liquidity service is 1 to 5 days, ensuring that the same capital can be reused, thereby facilitating cross-border payments of stablecoins on a global scale.
