CrowdStrike CEO: AI Reveals Vulnerability Risks in PHP, Calling for Rapid Fixing
2026-10-24 06:25:52
According to CoinMeta, CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz indicates that AI has proven that a vulnerability in PHP can be exploited, putting tens of millions of servers at risk. He pointed out that these vulnerabilities, which have existed for nearly 20 years, were only "theoretical" before AI, but have now been confirmed to be exploitable. This has forced everyone to enter a "very rapid patching cycle." Kurtz also mentioned that although large companies will patch their systems and modern versions of PHP will also be patched, some older versions may not. He warned that what many people do not pay enough attention to is that old routers and firewalls running outdated PHP "will never be patched," which could lead to "a large number of leaks" in the coming months. He emphasized, "You need to pay attention to the clock, not the calendar."
