According to CoinMeta, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy stated that the core computing power demand for AWS will remain strong in the coming years. The production capacity for 2026 has been sold out, and that of 2027 is also almost fully booked. Most of the production capacity for 2028 has been pre-ordered as well. In a Andreessen Horowitz podcast released on Friday, Jassy mentioned that AWS will still reserve some computing power for on-demand computing services, EC2 cloud servers, and AI model inference services to meet customers' immediate needs. In addition, Amazon continues to advance its in-house chip development strategy. The acquisition of Annapurna Labs in earlier years was one of Amazon's most successful moves, and the team responsible for it is currently working on the development of AI chips, Trainium, and Graviton CPU. Amazon's investment in Anthropic has also facilitated cooperation between the two parties in the development of Trainium chips, further enhancing the synergy between chip research and development and the demand for AI computing power.
