Ethereum DeFi Protocol Swell Suspends sweth and rsweth Deposit and Withdrawal Services
2026-10-24 17:09:31
According to CoinMeta, as reported by Unchained, Ethereum's liquidity lending protocol Swell has suspended the deposit and withdrawal services for sweth and rsweth. Services will only be resumed after the net asset values of these two tokens (NAV) and the exchange rates are corrected. Data shows that the reported exchange rates for sweth and rsweth contracts are approximately 1.203 ETH and 1.138 ETH respectively, which is about 6% and 5% higher than the normal levels before. The actual transaction prices for DEX are approximately 1.089 WETH and 1.029 WETH respectively. On-chain analyst Spreek suspects that the management keys for these tokens have been leaked and has discovered potential malicious upgrade contracts that could affect around 2,500 ETH. However, no such upgrades have been officially executed yet. Swell indicates that the ETH in the relevant contracts has not been transferred out, and the specific reasons are still under investigation.
