Morgan Stanley: The support level for semiconductor stocks could be 15% lower than the current level.

According to CoinMeta, Morgan Stanley suggests that the pressure on semiconductor stocks may ease next month. The team of strategists led by Mike Wilson maintains their forecast that the S&P 500 index will reach 8,000 points by the end of the year, but they point out that semiconductor stocks, as a key sector, could find support at levels far below current levels. The strategists note that as doubts arise about when the revenue opportunities brought about by AI will materialize and to what extent, semiconductors and other industries that benefit from capital spending are becoming the “epicenter” of financing concerns. They believe it is normal for the market to be concerned about this supply pressure, and these concerns are likely to persist until financing is completed. The good news is that the adjustment in the semiconductor sector has entered its “final stage” and is expected to end in mid-November. The bad news is that the sector could still fall another 10% to 15%, and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index could potentially drop to around 9,500 points in the future.
