OpenAI Launches ChatGPT Linux Desktop Application

OpenAI releases the preview version of the ChatGPT Linux desktop application, supporting some versions of Ubuntu, Debian, and Fedora.

OpenAI 表示，Linux 一直是桌面应用需求最高的平台之一。此次上线后，用户可在 Linux 设备上直接使用 ChatGPT、ChatGPT Work 和 Codex。
这次发布为预览版，意味着产品仍处于早期阶段，但已开始面向全球用户提供下载和使用。
首批支持多个主流发行版
OpenAI 给出的首批支持范围包括 Ubuntu 24.04 和 26.04 LTS、Debian 13，以及 Fedora 43 和 44 的桌面版本。
Linux 生态包含大量发行版，但上述系统也是不少衍生版本的基础。因此，部分下游桌面发行版也可能具备兼容性。
与 Anthropic 形成直接对比
在 Linux 桌面应用上，OpenAI 的动作晚于 Anthropic。后者约一个月前已推出 Claude 的 Linux 桌面应用。
按照公开信息，Anthropic 的应用支持 Ubuntu 22.04 及以上版本，以及 Debian 12 及以上版本。OpenAI 此次跟进后，主流 AI 助手在 Linux 桌面端的竞争进一步延伸到开发者常用环境。
