Kazakhstan announces the establishment of a national crypto analysis center to uniformly monitor fiat payments, crypto transfers, wallet information, and customer data. The center will be built on the SupTech platform of the national bank and will be integrated with existing anti-fraud systems.

Connect with banks and law enforcement agencies

Banks, law enforcement agencies, and licensed digital asset service providers will all receive verification tools from this center. The central bank governor Timur Suleimenov disclosed this plan at a government meeting, stating that the system will analyze both the fiat and crypto components of transactions simultaneously.

Regulation and crackdown go hand in hand

In recent years, Kazakhstan has been expanding compliant cryptocurrency services while also strengthening law enforcement against unlicensed platforms. The country has previously blocked a large number of unauthorized cryptocurrency trading platforms and taken action against illegal exchange points and unlicensed services.

Anti-fraud systems continue to expand.

The new center will be linked with the anti-fraud center launched by the central bank in August 2024. This system has already been connected to banks, micro-loan institutions, telecommunications operators, and government departments, and is used to share suspicious transaction information and identify abnormal activities.

The central bank is also promoting behavioral analysis and early warning tools. Officials stated that the relevant systems have recorded tens of thousands of incidents related to fraud, gambling, and financial scams, and have intercepted some suspicious capital flows.
