SiMa.ai is a startup company that develops chips and software, with products that enable robots, drones, cameras, and other devices to run AI directly on the device itself. The company has raised $150 million in a Series C financing round, and its post-investment valuation has reached $1.45 billion.
This round of financing was co-led by Fidelity Management, Research Company, and Amplify, with Alter Venture Partners, Dell Technologies Capital, and StepStone Group also participating in the investment.
SiMa.ai was founded by Krishna Rangasayee in 2018. Rangasayee previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of chip manufacturer Groq. This company provides high-energy-efficiency chips, which reduce the need to transfer data back and forth to the cloud.
SiMa.ai hopes that its low-latency performance and more affordable chips compared to NVIDIA GPU will help the company capture the growing market for physical AI devices, including humanoid robots.
This round of new financing has brought the cumulative funding amount of SiMa.ai to over $500 million. According to PitchBook, after completing a $85 million Series B financing in July 2025, the startup's valuation reached $960 million.
