On Wednesday, Metai announced the appointment of Roger Lynch as the new Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, succeeding Ynon Kreiz.
According to the press release, Lynch has been a member of the board of directors of Metai since 2018 and will assume the position of chairman on October 2nd, and will officially take on the role of CEO on November 2nd.
Lynch is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Cond and Nast, holding this position since 2019. According to a letter from Lynch, as the board of directors begins to search for a successor, Mike Perlis will assume the role of temporary Cond and Nast.
"I am honored to have the trust of the board of directors and I am also very excited to lead this outstanding team at Metai," Lynch stated in the press release. "During these years as a member of the board of directors, I have always admired Metai's brand, its excellent talent, and its unique culture."
After steering the company for over eight years, Kreiz will leave Metai to take on a senior leadership position at another listed company.
Under his leadership, this toy and entertainment company underwent a major transformation, which included the launch of "Barbie," which became the highest-grossing movie in the United States in 2023.
“It is an honor to lead Medtronic, and the company has a global team dedicated to its mission and goals. I am proud of all the achievements we have made together,” said Kreiz in a statement. “Medtronic is currently in a strong position, with a world-class portfolio of brands, product supply, and global capabilities.”
Mattel has been working hard to strengthen its iconic brands, and Hot Wheels is a significant advantage among them. The company is also attempting to enter the digital gaming sector in order to catch up with its competitor, Hasbro. Earlier this year, Mattel acquired full control of Mattel163 Mobile Games Studio.
