Fort Lauderdale, Florida, September 30th / PRNewswire / -- IGEL ®, a global software company providing IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform, announced today that it is collaborating with Omnissa to validate a deployment workflow to help enterprises use Omnissa Workspace ONE UEM and Omnissa Freestyle Orchestrator to prepare for IGEL Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery ™ ( IGEL BC & DR ™) on supported Windows terminals. This announcement was released concurrently with Omnissa ONE in 2026, and IGEL and Omnissa are demonstrating this integrated workflow to customers and partners at the event site.
Business continuity plans typically focus on restoring applications, infrastructure, and data, but employees still need accessible endpoints to access these resources. The new deployment approach aims to bridge this gap in endpoint recovery by making it easier to incorporate IGEL BC & DR ™ preparation tasks into daily device management operations. With the familiar Workspace ONE UEM workflow, the IT team can perform pre-installation checks and get ready for IGEL Dual Boot ™; this feature will install IGEL OS outside of the existing Windows environment, providing a backup path in the event of an interruption.
During the interruption, IGEL BC & DR ™, which contain Emergency Mode, can centrally switch terminals with Dual Boot to IGEL OS and maintain them in that system until the administrator determines it is safe to resume normal operation. This helps users regain secure access to approved virtual desktops, digital workspaces, SaaS applications, and browser-based services. Meanwhile, IT and the security team can investigate and fix the issues in the Windows environment.

This solution aims to integrate the preparation capabilities of BC and DR into the existing Workspace ONE device management operations, while complementing the enterprise's existing investments in identity management, virtual desktops, SaaS, security, and browser management.
