Bitcoin's "4chan prophecy" accurately predicted a market peak of nearly $126,000 in October 2025.
This anonymous model predicts that Bitcoin could rise to between $190,000 and $250,000 by 2026.
As the market environment improves, Citigroup has raised its 12-month target price for Bitcoin to $113,000.
An anonymous Bitcoin trader from 4chan has once again drawn attention for correctly predicting that Bitcoin would peak on October 6, 2025. This trader's BTC periodic model marks October 5, 2026, as the expected market bottom; currently, the trading price of Bitcoin is around $85,547, which is about 32% lower than its peak, but still significantly higher than the low of around $58,000 in July.
The 4chan model now points to the bottom of Bitcoin.
This prediction comes from an anonymous post published on 4chan in December 2023. The model is based on two simple time cycles. Firstly, it uses a 1,064-day upward period from the lowest point of the major bear market to the peak of this current cycle.
Subsequently, it adopts a 364-day cycle from the top to the next major bottom. Today, the second prediction of this model is attracting attention.
The article states that Bitcoin reached the peak predicted by the model on October 6, 2025, at around $126,000. Based on the same 364-day cycle, the model predicts that the next bottom will be around October 5, 2026.
However, that date may now have passed. Bitcoin is currently trading at around $85,547, which is about 32% lower than its historical high. It also fell to around $57,000 in July before rebounding subsequently.
4chan's target price for Bitcoin in 2026
This anonymous model does not stop at making bottom-line judgments. Its next main target range is for Bitcoin to rise to between $190,000 and $250,000.
The model also sets long-term targets: Ethereum is expected to reach $15,000 to $20,000, and Solana is expected to reach $1,000 to $1,500.
What will happen to Bitcoin next?
Other traders have also begun to turn bullish. Crypto Rover indicates that, historically, bear markets in Bitcoin tend to end around this stage, and the current price trend may suggest that the bottom of this cycle could come sooner than usual.
Even Citigroup has raised its 12-month target price for Bitcoin from $82,000 to $113,000, citing stronger crypto market activity, improved macroeconomic conditions, and the re-inflow of ETF funds.
In addition to this, corporate buying continues. The article states that Strategy, which is under Michael Saylor, purchased another 334 units of BTC from October 1st to October 4th, costing approximately 28.7 million US dollars, thereby increasing its holdings to 848,000 units of BTC.
Currently, the key question is whether Bitcoin will be able to hold above $82,000 and establish a new upward trend after the predicted bottom in October.
