Dr Pepper is adding a new permanent flavor to its product lineup. As part of its 2027 beverage innovation plan, the parent company Keurig Dr Pepper has launched Dr Pepper Ice Cream Float.
This new soda combines the iconic 23 flavors of Dr Pepper with creamy vanilla ice cream flavor, as well as caramel and buttery candy flavors. Unlike many of the brand's recent experimental flavors, Ice Cream Float will not be a limited-time release product.
Keurig Dr Pepper indicates that this beverage will be launched nationwide in the United States in February 2027, with packaging options including canned and 20-ounce bottles. The company expects to introduce cup-shaped and frozen versions around the middle of that year. Both the regular version and the Zero Sugar version will be available.
Dr Pepper Expands Its Taste Strategy
This listing is one of the measures taken by Keurig Dr Pepper to cater to consumers' preference for the combination of "novel flavors + familiar brands."
The company stated that its research indicates that young consumers are exploring a wider range of beverage categories and flavors, while still preferring brands with a nostalgic appeal. Keurig Dr Pepper also mentioned that, according to the data from Circana, the company has launched the number one innovative carbonated soft drink product each year over the past three years.
Ice Cream Float continues a series of recent taste tests initiated by Dr Pepper, including Blackberry, Strawberries & Cream, as well as the return of Creamy Coconut.

The company's product pipeline for 2027 includes far more than Dr Pepper. Keurig Dr Pepper is also preparing 7UP, Miami Vice, Canada Dry Raspberry Lemonade, as well as over 25 new products in the energy drink category.
Keurig Dr Pepper Stock price rises after the announcement
This means that the performance of this stock is roughly in line with the broader market; the S&P 500 index has risen by 0.66%.
However, this increase does not necessarily mean that investors are reacting to Dr Pepper Ice Cream Float. Especially since Keurig Dr Pepper also announced several products at the same time. Nevertheless, this positive trading day still indicates that investors have not reacted negatively to the company's latest product strategy.
