Verifiable proxy arbitrators (Verifiable Agent Arbiter, VAA) retain proxy records internally and keep them confidential, while anchoring their integrity proofs to Sui and Walrus, thereby providing a credible and neutral record of proxy behavior for counterparties, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
Palo Alto, California, October 6, 2026 / PRNewswire / — Mysten Labs Today, we announce that we are collaborating with Google Cloud to develop a verifiable proxy arbitrator ( VAA ). This system is a layer of evidence infrastructure designed to enable companies to prove that the actions of their AI proxies are within the granted permissions. As proxies begin to execute transactions, negotiate with other proxies, and take action across company boundaries, VAA will provide companies with a record of activities that can be verified independently of the platform that generated those records.
Companies indicate that nowadays various organizations wish to deploy agents into production environments, but they are constrained by the lack of credible records, as counterparties, auditors, or regulatory authorities cannot trust such records. VAA aims to provide such records and to help companies comply with upcoming regulatory requirements, including the European Union's Artificial Intelligence Act. According to this act, starting from 2027, failure to keep records properly may result in fines of up to 15 million euros or 3% of the company's annual global turnover.
VAA separates the proxy activity records from their integrity proofs. Detailed telemetry data, including prompts, model outputs, tool calls, and strategic decisions, will continue to be retained within Google Cloud Storage under customer control. The encrypted proof of these records will be stored in Walrus; Walrus is referred to as a data platform designed to meet the needs of AI. Relevant coordination work will be carried out on Sui; Sui is a Layer blockchain.
Key Corporate Capabilities
Mysten Labs, co-founder and CEO, stated: "The AI proxies are beginning to make decisions that have financial and legal consequences, and we need to ensure that they cannot exceed their authorized authority. This requires evidence that can be verified by any counterparty."
He stated, "The verifiable proxy arbitrator compiles records of what proxies are allowed to do, what they actually do, and the results that ensue, and these records are anchored to Sui and Walrus. We have designed these networks to be neutral and resilient, capable of operating at the speed and scale of autonomous proxies. By collaborating with Google Cloud, we are integrating them into corporate workflows."
The company stated that the initial deployment plan for corporate customers will be launched before it becomes more widely available. For more information or to express interest in registration, please contact [ email protected ].
