Techman Robot Strengthen network security to support the reliable deployment of physical AI
Techman Robot has become the world's first collaborative robot manufacturer to obtain IEC certification on 62443-4-2, SL2, and is equipped with integrated visual AI.
Taipei, October 7, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Techman Robot indicates that its TM AI Cobot S series has obtained Security Level 2 ( SL2 ) in the IEC 62443-4-2 Cybersecurity Certification. This certification was obtained after an independent assessment conducted by DEKRA. This progress strengthens the cybersecurity foundation for the deployment of collaborative robots in interconnected production environments.
As physical AI begins to be implemented in production, robots are increasingly connecting with devices, manufacturing systems, and data infrastructure. Manufacturers not only need intelligent automation but also need to have full confidence in the cybersecurity capabilities of the products they deploy.
Techman Robot integrates machine vision, artificial intelligence, and robot execution through its “SEE • THINK • ACT” approach. The company states that independently verified cybersecurity capabilities are the foundation for achieving reliable deployment.
IEC Standard 62443-4-2 specifies the safety requirements for components in industrial automation and control systems. This certification provides manufacturers and system integrators with an independently verified reference for assessing the cybersecurity capabilities of TM AI Cobot S series products.
Techman Robot Chief Operating Officer Scott Huang states:
As physical AI enters the production phase, customers are no longer only concerned with the intelligence level of the robots. They also need to be sure that this system can operate safely and reliably over the long term in their production environment. SEE • THINK • ACT is at the core of the Techman Robot AI robot approach, and reliable deployment is crucial for truly bringing this intelligence into the production workshop.
He stated, "The IEC 62443-4-2 SL2 certification reflects our ongoing efforts in product development, which is to combine intelligence, network security, and real production needs."
In addition to authentication, TM AI Cobot has also established a network security mechanism that covers the entire product lifecycle, including vulnerability management, incident reporting, and security updates. Techman Robot indicates that the company will continue to strengthen these mechanisms in accordance with the requirements of the European Union's Cyber Resilience Act ( CRA ).
The company stated that from integrating visual elements to incorporating AI, Techman Robot will continue to strive to bring intelligence into real production environments, with reliable deployment as its foundation.
