General Dynamics' Land Systems division and Primordial Labs announce a major cooperation agreement to integrate their natural language command and control software Anura into ground combat vehicles. Both parties stated that this technology allows crew members to directly control vehicle systems through natural language, and it can operate in environments without cloud connectivity or with limited communication.

New Haven, Connecticut, USA, October 7th / PRNewswire / -- General Dynamics (NYSE : GD )'s business unit General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS ) and Primordial Labs today announced a major cooperation agreement aimed at introducing natural language command and control capabilities to ground combat vehicles.

This collaboration will combine GDLS's experience in combat vehicle design and integration with Primordial Labs's Anura natural language command and control ( NLC2 ) software, allowing crew members to command the vehicle's systems simply by stating the goals, tasks, and constraints they wish to accomplish.

According to this collaboration, Primordial Labs will further integrate Anura into various vehicles within the General Dynamics Land Systems product portfolio. Passengers will not need to switch between menus and manual controls for each task; instead, they can express their intentions in natural language, and Anura will execute actions by interacting with relevant on-board subsystems, which include sensors, displays, communication devices, and unmanned systems that previously required dedicated operator seats. Since Anura operates entirely at the edge level without relying on cloud feedback, these capabilities can still be utilized in adversarial environments or those with limited communication.

Historically, each new capability added to combat vehicles has meant the introduction of a new set of control methods, additional training requirements, and a greater burden on the crew. Anura aims to break this cycle: a single interface that can be integrated with each new subsystem or software update, allowing the Army and Marine Corps to deploy new technologies to various platforms at the same pace as technological development.

Primordial Labs CEO Lee Ritholtz stated: "Our customers have made it clear that future combat formations will be dynamic. The platform is becoming increasingly software-defined and integrates advanced in-vehicle and ex-vehicle robots. The Army needs soldiers to be able to intuitively control any system in any formation. We have created Anura to help our customers realize this vision by reducing cognitive, physical, and training burdens. Anura is an interface that allows small armored crews to interact seamlessly with all systems, from in-vehicle mission systems to unmanned teammates. In collaboration with GDLS, Anura is becoming a platform that defines the American armored forces. We are jointly delivering the dynamic formations required by the Army and Marine Corps."

General Dynamics Land Systems, Vice President of U.S. Business and General Manager, stated: "We believe that natural language control is a key driver for achieving greater lethality with a smaller crew size, reducing physical exertion, and enhancing the cognitive performance of combat teams. Our collaboration with Primordial Labs, as well as integrating Anura into platforms such as the Abrams tank and next-generation combat vehicles, aims to enable any soldier to intuitively command complex systems in any formation. We are transforming combat vehicles into adaptable teammates empowered by AI and delivering the human-machine collaboration that our customers need."

Why Stablecoins May Be More Profitable in an Environment of High Interest Rates
Stablecoins such as USDT and USDC are designed to be pegged to 1 US dollar, but issuers allocate their reserve funds to short-term US Treasury bonds, repurchase agreements, money market instruments, and bank deposits to earn interest. The article uses Circle and Tether as examples to illustrate that the higher the interest rate, the stronger the reserve earnings; however, a reduction in interest rates by the Federal Reserve may lower the issuers' reserve income and profitability.
