Singapore, October 8th / PRNewswire / -- ONLYOFFICE launches a major 10.0 autumn update, which includes the direct integration of context-aware AI tools into the editor, new modular Apps, as well as significant security enhancements. This update is available for online, desktop, and mobile editors, bringing about 50 new features and over 1,000 improvements.
Those who can understand the document, AI, cover each editor.
ONLYOFFICE 10.0 allows context-aware AI to be directly inserted into documents, tables, presentations, and PDF editors. A dedicated AI tab with built-in chat functionality enables teams to draft, summarize, translate, clean up, and format content without having to leave the file or copy it to other tools.
AI can simplify daily work: legal teams can summarize contracts, analysts can generate forecasts or pivot tables, and managers can transform their ideas into structured presentations.
Ready-made prompts, custom AI operations, assistants, and saved prompts help teams streamline work processes and automate routine tasks.
Organizations can control the usage of AI and select models based on quality, speed, and cost. Cloud users can enable ONLYOFFICE AI through OpenRouter, while server deployments can connect to any model, including local models. Sensitive data remains within their own infrastructure.
New modular Apps
This release introduces four free Apps components, which are used to expand on ONLYOFFICE Docs (by utilizing AGPL and v3). AI Agents can provide intelligent search, personalized knowledge bases, and enhanced reasoning through the MCP server, thereby automating workspaces. Forms is designed to simplify data collection and analyze responses. Files manages document storage centrally and provides access control. Rooms supports secure collaboration, including features for confidential content using Virtual Data Rooms. These Apps components are enabled by default in the cloud; on servers, they can be installed with just one command.
Editor Enhancements
PDF Editor Added metadata removal, custom annotations, automatic table recognition, and reusable signatures. Document Editor Allows collaborators to follow each other's cursors in real time; the new “Keep with next” feature keeps related content together; RTL support has also become more reliable. Table processing speed has improved, with optimizations to function tips and animation copy boxes. New view modes and extended printing settings have been added to the presentation, and it now supports exporting slides as GIF or videos.
Users can now process the ofd file, save the spreadsheet as xls, convert SVG into editable shapes, and add a data table to the chart. The Plugin Manager has also been redesigned, with new plugins such as Antidote, Curly, and Salesforce added.
Security
ONLYOFFICE v10.0 fixed 35 vulnerabilities, and as the threats posed by AI drivers continue to evolve, these fixes have enhanced the protection capabilities of organizations that handle sensitive data.
Desktop and mobile versions
Desktop Editors has received a refreshed homepage, redesigned Templates and Clouds sections, integration with Odoo, as well as visual improvements on Linux. In the Desktop Community version, the AI tool is provided as an optional additional component.
Free iOS and Android applications have added a new AI assistant, and now support new providers such as Grok and DeepSeek. They also incorporate AI AutoFill for forms and voice input, making them more convenient to use in mobile office scenarios.
