Veridian is the first company to adopt the Cardano CIP-0113 standard. This standard allows token issuers to impose transfer restrictions and to freeze or confiscate assets when regulatory requirements are met.

The mobile wallet of Veridian has been launched. The credential tool developed by this company can help individuals, enterprises, and AI agents verify their identities and permissions without relying on centralized databases.

The company, headquartered in Switzerland, will develop tools for governments, enterprises, and AI, to prove identities and explain their online activities. The Cardano Foundation stated that Veridian is led by Thomas A. Mayfield was previously responsible for decentralized trust and identity solutions at the Cardano Foundation. The foundation announced on Thursday that Veridian plans to seek strategic investors in 2027.

This split has enabled Cardano to have its first real-world case of the programmable token framework it launched on Tuesday. CIP-0113 is an abbreviation for Cardano Improvement Proposal 0113, which allows issuers to attach rules to tokens, including who can receive them, and whether they can be frozen, confiscated, or transferred when necessary.

These functions are aimed at regulated products such as stablecoins, funds, and tokenized securities. Issuers of such products may need to perform identity verification, sanctions control, or comply with court orders when transferring assets. The equity of Veridian provides a practical application scenario for this standard, rather than remaining just a theoretical concept.

Veridian issues digital credentials using open technical standards named KERI and ACDC. These credentials are designed to allow individuals, companies, and software agents to prove their identity or authority without relying on centralized databases to store information.

The foundation stated that the wallet for Veridian has been launched on iOS and Android, and it has been integrated with Utah's digital identity requirements. Utah's SB took effect in May, establishing the state's State Endorsed Digital Identity Program.

Gregaard indicates that the demand for AI agents in Utah who act on behalf of individuals or companies is continuously growing, which has led to the separation of Veridian from a non-profit foundation.

The Masumi proxy payment and identity network, constructed by Serviceplan Group and NMKR based on Cardano, is already in use. Relevant companies state that this system allows counterparties to verify the credentials of proxies before making payments, and to revoke those credentials in the event of a proxy being compromised.

“AI agents will also need verifiable identities,” he said, “Veridian as an independent company, can better serve this market.”

The shift to "hedge mode" in encryption forces custodian institutions to rethink multi-chain key management
Project Eleven and Quantus plan to launch Quantus custody support for institutions in the first quarter of 2027, allowing institutions to manage keys and approve transactions through hardware security modules, internal policies, and audit systems. The article points out that as different blockchain networks may adopt various post-quantum cryptography standards, the key issue faced by banks and custodian institutions is whether their key management, approval, and audit systems can adapt to this multi-chain migration.
