SVRN acquires FastNEAR to expand its role in the infrastructure operations of NEAR

As SVRN and Inc, this is the first acquisition after the name change. This move has brought in a core network access and data service provider, along with its founding engineering team, and has deepened the company's involvement in the NEAR ecosystem.

New York, October 8th / PRNewswire / -- SVRN, Inc. (Nasdaq ticker: SVRN) Today, we announced the acquisition of FastNEAR. FastNEAR is a company that provides RPC (Remote Procedure Call) infrastructure for applications on NEAR Protocol. These applications use this infrastructure to retrieve information from the network and submit transactions to it. FastNEAR has now become a wholly-owned subsidiary of SVRN, and its co-founders Evgeny Kuzyakov and Mike Purvis have joined the company. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Most people who use digital wallets or applications do not see the systems that lie behind them. When a wallet displays its balance, developers query a historical transaction, or an application submits a payment, requests are sent to servers that hold the current copy of the network and respond on its behalf. FastNEAR handles most of the traffic for NEAR; this includes server clusters that process read and write requests to the network, archival infrastructure that stores the complete history of transactions, and key data sources for developers NEARDATA. FastNEAR processes over 3.5 billion requests per month, manages more than 100TB of data, and provides support for the NEAR ecosystem.

The treasury of SVRN enables shareholders to gain exposure to NEAR, and the company is also continuously expanding its strategy from merely managing digital assets to actively operating the NEAR network and promoting ecosystem development. SVRN pledges the NEAR in its treasury to validators that ensure network security and participates in the governance of NEAR, including co-drafting a plan approved in February 2026 that pays rewards to the operators of MPC (multi-party computing) nodes based on their performance. The acquisition of FastNEAR extends this participation to the services used daily by NEAR developers, also adding a business line with an existing customer base, whose value is distinct from the price of NEAR itself.

The services provided by FastNEAR will continue to be seamlessly offered to existing customers. SVRN plans to invest in enhancing the reliability and capacity of the infrastructure of FastNEAR, and on this basis, build more products and services.

SVRN CEO Sal Ternullo stated: "Everything built on NEAR relies on infrastructure that is invisible to most people. When a wallet displays a balance or an application submits a transaction, a system must respond quickly and accurately every time. FastNEAR has been providing this service to a large portion of the ecosystem, and it is operated by a small team. They maintain low costs because they hope for the network to grow. Operating this infrastructure brings us closer to the real needs of users. We can see where the usage is increasing and what developers need that is not yet available. These insights will shape our next direction of investment, and FastNEAR is just the first step of several steps we plan to take, with the goal of promoting the adoption of NEAR products."

This website with exaggerated details allows you to "sit at" Elizabeth Holmes' desk
According to TechCrunch, Extend engineer Bo Lau utilized thousands of emails, slides, text messages, and documents made public in the U.S. case against Elizabeth Holmes to create an interactive website that highly recreates the office environment of Theranos CEO Holmes before the company's collapse. The report indicates that although this project was intended as a joke, it also makes it easier for the public to access the public materials from one of the most notorious cases in tech history. Additionally, it has been used to promote Extend and the film viewing event surrounding a documentary about Holmes.
