Plano, Texas, USA, October 9th / PRNewswire / -- Alkami Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq ticker: ALKT, hereinafter referred to as “Alkami”) announced today that, according to data provided by BioCatch, customers using BioCatch on its digital banking platform avoided fraud losses of over $263 million in 2025.

This result was released during the Cybersecurity Awareness Month of Alkami. The event aims to emphasize the importance of maintaining strong security practices throughout the year. Cybercriminals use various means to gain access to online banking accounts, including phishing to steal credentials or tricking users into providing confidential information. BioCatch Account Takeover Protection analyzes users' behavior, devices, and session signals in real-time when account holders use digital banking services, and establishes a baseline for legitimate activities. It can identify abnormalities such as unusual navigation patterns, interaction patterns, or transaction behaviors, which may indicate that an account has been compromised or that there is an attempt to take control of the account.

Alkami, the Director of Product Management, stated: "BioCatch provides our customers with another way to identify suspicious activities during digital banking sessions without causing any additional inconvenience to the customers or members. The results from 2025 show how behavioral and session signals can help financial institutions detect account takeover risks earlier, giving them the opportunity to intervene before suspicious activities escalate into financial losses, and in the process, help protect the relationships with account holders."

Each digital banking session is assigned a risk score, which financial institutions can use to determine how to handle the related activities. Financial institutions set thresholds based on their own tolerance for potential fraud, allowing them to customize their responses according to their security policies.

BioCatch, Vice President of Global Partnerships and Alliances, Jay Whoriskey stated: "Effective fraud prevention ultimately boils down to identifying risks early enough so that action can be taken." BioCatch and Alkami jointly provide banks and credit unions with continuous visibility into user intentions throughout every digital banking transaction, in every millisecond, enabling these financial institutions to promptly identify and prevent account takeovers. By preventing fraud worth over $263 million in a single year, this demonstrates the power of behavioral intelligence in large-scale scenarios."

Recent customer success cases reflect the impact of the strategic collaboration between Alkami and BioCatch. Leveraging the integrated partner ecosystem of Alkami, Gate City Bank has utilized BioCatch to proactively identify account takeovers and suspicious activities. The bank reported that in the past six months, its account takeover interception rate reached 97%, preventing fraud losses amounting to 650,000 US dollars. Similarly, Raiz Federal Credit Union has prevented over 286,000 US dollars in fraud within the first year by deploying layered security strategies in conjunction with other layered security solutions.

BioCatch can be obtained through the Alkami Alliance partner ecosystem and can be connected to Alkami Digital Banking Platform.

About BioCatch

BioCatch prevents fraud and financial crimes by identifying patterns of human behavior. The company continuously collects over 3,000 anonymous data points—including keypresses and mouse activities, touchscreen behaviors, AI proxy usage, jailbroken devices, etc.—to analyze people's behavior when interacting with digital banking platforms. With this input, the BioCatch's AI and machine learning models continuously assess user intentions and any signs of coercion or manipulation at every millisecond of each digital banking session, enabling banks to distinguish between criminals and legitimate users in real time. Data insights from the entire network of BioCatch institutions further enhance their ability and accuracy in real-time risk scoring. By the end of the first half of 2026, more than 370 financial institutions had deployed the BioCatch solution, analyzing 19 billion user sessions per month and providing fraud and financial crime protection for over 760 million users and more than 1.8 billion devices worldwide.
