IT News on October 15th: According to a report by Bloomberg this morning (October 15th), analysts at Barclays Bank believe that Tesla, owned by Elon Musk, and SpaceX may announce a merger before Tesla's annual general meeting of shareholders.

Analysts such as Dan Levy expect that Tesla's annual general meeting of shareholders this year will be held no later than December 6. The merger of the two companies can generate certain financial synergies, but the real value lies in integrating the AI technologies of both parties to achieve vertical integration.

Analysts pointed out in research reports sent to clients that the merger between Tesla and SpaceX is gradually becoming a common expectation in the market. The merger news is not expected to be announced until late October or even early November. However, the later the news is announced, the more difficult it will be to obtain merger approval at the annual general meeting of shareholders.

Investors and analysts have generally been optimistic about the possibility of a merger between the two companies, especially after SpaceX achieved a record IPO this year. News in January indicated that SpaceX had considered merging with Tesla, but ultimately chose to acquire xAI, a startup founded by Elon Musk.

Tesla and SpaceX not only have multiple business dealings but also share an overlapping shareholder base. Musk also serves as the CEO of both companies. SpaceX has purchased Tesla Cybertruck worth over 100 million US dollars (Note from the editor: The current exchange rate is approximately 671 million RMB). xAI is also an important customer for Tesla's large-scale energy storage batteries.

Both parties are also jointly advancing the Terafab chip manufacturing project, planning to produce chips for Tesla cars, autonomous taxis, and Optimus robots. At the same time, they are developing chips specifically for use in SpaceX orbiting AI satellites.

Elon Musk has recently discussed multiple times the business connections between his two companies and how they are gradually merging. In his most recent earnings call, he pointed out that the two companies have overlapping businesses in many areas.

Barclays believes that the biggest obstacle to the merger is shareholder voting. Both Tesla and the shareholders of SpaceX are likely to need to approve the transaction.

Analysts pointed out: "At Tesla's 2025 annual general meeting of shareholders, approximately 11% of the total voting rights belonged to 'brokers who did not vote,' which was effectively equivalent to a vote against. We believe that if Tesla were to hold a vote on the merger plan with SpaceX, the company would find ways to increase the proportion of shareholders participating in the vote."

Bitcoin's Next Target Could Be $93,000
Bitcoin fell back to around $81,700 after hotter inflation data in the United States, dropping 2% in the past 24 hours and breaking below the support range of $82,000 to $83,000. Nevertheless, technical analysis suggests it could rebound to $88,000 along the upward channel, and potentially to $93,000; the range of $83,000 to $84,000 remains the most important resistance zone.

CoreWeave Plunges 15%, AI Mining Business Faces Financing Challenges
CoreWeave Stock prices tumbled about 15% on Wednesday and continued to fall nearly 6% after the market closed, with bonds and credit default swaps also deteriorating simultaneously. CEO Michael Intrator claims that the company has over $104.2 billion in backlogged orders sufficient to cover its debt obligations, but analysts and bond market traders are concerned that, against the backdrop of rising financing costs, AI's model of 'borrowing to build infrastructure first and then generating revenue later' is facing a test.
