Ripple Prime has introduced support for perpetual swaps on real-world assets ( RWA ), allowing institutional clients to trade exposures across more than 100 markets around the clock, including stocks, stock indices, ETF, metals, energy, and foreign exchange.

Institutional trading firm Virtu is one of the customers using this service.

These swap products refer to the perpetual futures listed by Trade.xyz on Hyperliquid.

Customers can also use Ripple USD ( RLUSD ) as collateral and manage their positions across supported asset categories with cross-margin management, thereby helping to manage capital and risk through a single principal broker relationship.

Ripple indicates that this service is currently provided under its CIV BVI license, and there are plans to expand it to more regions.

This launch comes at a time when the trading of perpetual futures linked to traditional financial assets is continuously growing.

On Thursday, U.S. Treasury yields fell as investors continued to sell tech stocks and turned to bonds for safety after the release of the latest wholesale inflation data. In September, the U.S. Producer Price Index rose 6.3% year-on-year, higher than the 5.5% expected by economists surveyed by Dow Jones; previously released Consumer Price Index figures also exceeded expectations. The market still considers the possibility of the Federal Reserve raising interest rates by another 25 basis points before the end of the year.
