On September 9, 2026, Cooper announced its third-quarter results for 2026. The company stated that, among other things, "revenue was $717 million, essentially flat year-over-year," and noted that "the performance in the Americas region reflects a reduction in inventory in CooperVision's US channels." The company further mentioned that it "proactively reduced inventory in the US channels, which dragged down our performance and will continue to have an impact in the fourth quarter." Cooper also lowered its full-year guidance, explaining that "the entire reason for lowering the CooperVision revenue guidance is related to channel inventory." The company also reduced its revenue guidance by about 1.4%, which is a decrease of $59.5 million when averaged, to $4.24 billion; it also lowered its earnings per share guidance by about 1.8%, which is a decrease of $0.09 when averaged, to between $4.51 and $4.55.

Affected by this news, the stock price of Cooper fell by $9.31 on September 10, 2026, a decrease of 14.67%, closing at $54.17.
