Multiliquid completed a seed round of financing led by Polychain, with a total financing amount of 8 million US dollars.

Los Angeles, October 15, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Multiliquid Developer Uniform Labs announced today that they have completed a seed round of financing led by Polychain, with Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures, and Circle Ventures also participating, bringing the total financing amount for Multiliquid to 8 million US dollars.

The company stated that from U.S. Treasury bonds and money market funds to private credit and other real-world assets, tokenized assets represent the fastest-growing frontier in institutional digital finance. However, market adoption is still limited by traditional primary offering and redemption cycles, which can take several days to settle. The company noted that in contexts where federal stablecoin frameworks such as GENIUS Act prohibit payment-type stablecoins from paying yields directly to holders, institutions need programmable infrastructure to be able to rotate between interest-bearing tokenized investments and transactional stablecoins on a 24/7 basis on a large scale, without causing a burden on their balance sheets.

According to Multiliquid, it is precisely this type of infrastructure that they provide. The company states that Multiliquid is a neutral, compliance-oriented liquidity layer that allows holders to exchange between blue-chip tokenized assets and stablecoins through a single, atomic transaction. This protocol supports tokenized funds from several leading asset management companies, including Wellington Management, VanEck, Janus Henderson, and Fasanara, as well as major stablecoins such as USDC.

Multiliquid, the founder and CEO, stated: "Tokenization only makes sense when assets truly possess liquidity. Traditional capital markets rely on deep repurchase tools and overnight lending to maintain liquidity. On-chain finance also requires the same institutional-level infrastructure. Polychain led this round of financing, with Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures, and Circle Ventures also participating. This validates our belief that liquidity and continuous settlement will become the next layer of infrastructure adopted by institutions."

Polychain Founder Olaf Carlson - Wee states: "Tokenized assets have begun to attract attention, but liquidity remains a bottleneck. Multiliquid is building a connectivity layer that enables institutions to seamlessly switch between different issuers and platforms, as well as between tokenized funds and stablecoins. Will has unparalleled experience in this market, and we are delighted to support this groundbreaking project."
