Scott Larson, who was in charge of marketing at Salesforce and Meta, stated that the conversational text-to-video generator from OpenArt AI is a tool he wished he could have had in the early stages of his career.

This platform only requires a few keywords to help users quickly generate short videos, art-style images, and music.

OpenArt This week, Larson was appointed as the Vice President of Corporate Brand Marketing, and the company has exclusively announced this news to CMO Insider.

As the company experiences rapid growth, Larson has joined forces with OpenArt. The company states that, based on annualized recurring revenue, it is expected to exceed $250 million by the end of 2026. Over the past year, the number of employees has increased from 20 to 80, and the monthly active users have also grown to 8 million.

Larson told CMO Insider that his goal is to bring OpenArt as “as close as possible to a well-known brand in the field of AI creativity”.

He said that the biggest challenge will be to integrate the various use cases of OpenArt into a unified “Polaris” narrative.

OpenArt recently launched a new product called Director. Users can describe an idea, visual style, and narrative arc, and the system will then convert it into a video up to 5 minutes long. The company is also promoting this release through cinemas and outdoor billboards, hoping to spark a "vibe directing" craze within the creative community. Other users use their platform to create social media posts, AI voiceovers, or lyric videos. OpenArt also provides a AI model ranking system to help users benchmark and compare different AI video and image models.

Larson said that when he first tried out OpenArt two months ago, he made an ultra-short film with only three shots, titled " Life is Short ". In the film, a person made of butter walks along the edge of a swimming pool. The butter person looks up at the scorching sun above, and then the scene switches to an old-fashioned endcard with " The End " written on it.

“If I had had this tool from a long time ago, when I was still someone obsessed with creation, I would have continued to do all sorts of things until today,” said Larson.

Earlier this year, OpenArt also poached another executive from a large technology company, hiring former Google executive Raj Gajwani to serve as Chief Commercial Officer.

"This is a matter of mindset": The founder of PlayStation downplays players' anger over disc ownership
PlayStation Founder Kyu Kuroki stated that physical discs are merely a metaphor for "owning a game," and if people are dissatisfied with the cessation of physical disc production, it is simply a "matters of mindset." This statement came after Sony decided to stop producing game discs starting from 2028, a decision that has encountered strong opposition from players. Several industry insiders pointed out to Decrypt that the cessation of disc production is usually driven by publishers in order to increase profit margins, and Sony also underestimated the reaction of the community.
