- The trailer for "Grand Theft Auto VI" (also known as Grand Theft Auto 6, abbreviated as GTA 6) mentions a token called Dacity Coin. Previous leaked game content showed that there was a mission that required the protagonist to perform stunts in order to boost the value of this token.
- Meme coin Traders have now created an unofficial token with the same name in the real world and driven its price up, as they hope that Dacity Coin will become an important part of this upcoming game.
- Some people think it will only be an element in certain side quests, while others believe it could become an asset that can be traded within the game.
A recent launch trailer for "Grand Theft Auto VI" briefly mentioned a " Dacity Coin ", and crypto traders are speculating about the role this token, which clearly has the colors of meme and coin, will play in the game. Some believe it will only appear in a few side quests, while others think it could become a fully tradable in-game asset.
In response, speculators in the crypto community have created an unofficial meme with the same name on Solana, and they drove its market value to a peak of 15 million US dollars. Traders stated that they are essentially betting on the importance of Dacity Coin within GTA 6, believing that if it is deeply integrated into the game, the price increase could be even greater – despite the fact that this Solana token has no official association with the game at all.
A user named COREY posted on X, saying: "It's confirmed in the game that there is $Dacity coin. This is the kind of target we've been waiting for, one that could reach a market value of 100 million dollars. I was not wrong when I said it would drive up the price before. Look at the 54-second mark."
This theory is also supported by suspected leaked task screenshots. The notorious hacker “Cyberleek” published relevant content over a week ago. According to GTA and wiki, Lucia was required to perform parachute stunts in order to attract investors to buy Dacity Coin.
According to a leaked screenshot, in this task, someone said to Lucia on the phone: "Give them a performance. They’ll buy it without even knowing what Dacity Coin is."
In the official launch trailer, a wing walker performer ignited smoke bombs on top of an aircraft covered with the Dacity Coin brand logo. This led some traders to believe that Dacity Coin might appear in multiple tasks, and players would need to perform crazy stunts to drive up the price of this token—just as meme and coin traders did in the real world in the past.
Dacity Coin seems to be related to a brand within the game as well, AudaCity. In the leaked content and trailers, AudaCity appears alongside this token. According to GTA and wiki, AudaCity appears to be the company behind Dacity Coin.
Some traders believe that the role of this meme coin will not be limited to just a few side quests. Nicstho suggests that the bullish logic is based on the idea that Dacity Coin could be a type of in-game currency that can be used both in single-player and multiplayer modes; he added that this would be "huge" for the real-world Solana token – although there is no official connection between the two.
Alias meme coin Trader Corey Ape to Decrypt said, "I guess it can be traded just like you trade stocks in GTA V. Think about the previous generation of GTA; you could buy stocks related to tasks within the game, so I think you can do the same this time as well."
Corey Ape says that this is purely an intuitive judgment, but it sounds logical. In the single-player storyline mode of GTA V, players can invest in stocks in an attempt to get rich quickly – there's even a complete investment guide made around this feature. Corey Ape believes that since Rockstar set this precedent in the previous game, it's only natural to allow players to trade meme coin within the game as well.

Nicstho said, 'Obviously, this token in the real world was not issued by Rockstar. They just wanted to trick meme and coin traders.'
As rumors and speculation continue to intensify, the Solana token in the real world has seen a significant rise in value. According to data from the trading platform Pump.fun, a trader has achieved an unrealized profit of $285,000 with just a $20,000 investment. However, it's important to note that these gains have not yet been realized, and the token's value could fall sharply at any time, which is a typical characteristic of meme and coin.
These days, some crypto traders are eagerly awaiting the release of " GTA 6 " in November, hoping that it will help boost their positions.
Rockstar did not respond to Decrypt's request for a comment.
