Kö rber invests in NAiSE to advance vendor-independent fleet management within factory logistics

Hamburg, Germany, October 22nd / PRNewswire / -- International technology company Kö rber is acquiring a portion of the equity in German software company NAiSE GmbH. NAiSE specializes in fleet management that is independent of manufacturers. Both parties will combine their respective capabilities to help global customers coordinate mixed fleets in production and warehousing environments.

Through investment in NAiSE, Kö rber is strengthening its products in in-plant logistics fleet management, while strategically expanding the software portfolio of its supply chain business department. NAiSE was established in 2017 and has been operating on its own funds until now. Its fleet management software (FMS) integrates automated guided vehicles (AGV), autonomous mobile robots (AMR), and manually operated industrial vehicles from different manufacturers under a single control layer. With this investment, Kö rber elevates the existing cooperation between the two parties to a strategic partnership and supports NAiSE in entering the next phase of growth.

With the development of automation, enterprises are becoming increasingly dependent on large fleets from various manufacturers. Without a higher-level control layer, these fleets would remain isolated independent solutions, which limits efficiency, transparency, and scalability. This is where NAiSE comes into play: the platform connects different vehicles and systems through a standardized integration layer and can be efficiently configured even when different warehouse management systems (WMS), warehouse execution systems (WES), or warehouse control systems (WCS) are running in the background.

Both parties stated that they will combine their experience and resources to unleash the full potential of fleet management in the warehouse environment, which is unrelated to OEM, and to deepen the connection between the NAiSE platform and Kö rber warehousing solutions. NAiSE will continue to provide and further develop its platform for production logistics and related applications, while also opening its existing AGV and AMR partner ecosystem to joint and new customers. Both parties also plan to develop new use cases for in-plant logistics applications, including humanoid robots.

"With the help of NAiSE, we have secured a partner that handles mixed fleet scheduling in a vendor-neutral, standardized manner that has been verified in practice, which is exactly what the market needs today. We will work together with the founding team to unleash this potential and provide customers with end-to-end automated solutions," said rber, a member of the Executive Board and head of Supply Chain Operations at Helena Garriga.

"We have intentionally chosen a partner who respects our independence and can also help us achieve international expansion," said Kai Przybysz - Herz, co-founder and CEO of NAiSE GmbH. "Kö rber possesses deep industrial experience, a global customer network, and a true understanding of entrepreneurial mindset. At the same time, we will continue to position ourselves as NAiSE and remain open to cooperation with other system integrators and vehicle manufacturers. For us, this is the foundation of our growth model."

NAiSE will continue to carry out business with existing and new partners as before. The company's operations and management will still be overseen by the founding team consisting of Kai Przybysz - Herz, Robert Libert, and Raphael Kusumoto. Kö rber will act as a strategic investor and partner in communication, supporting NAiSE in its next phase of growth.
