Unitree Founder Wang Xingxing stated at a meeting on October 22 that large models will make breakthroughs in the field of physical AI within one to three years, and the GPT-6 of OpenAI can already command robots without any training.
On October 26, JPMorgan Chase raised its rating of Unitree from 'reduce holdings' to 'increase holdings', and also increased the target price.

The market is betting that the technology behind chatbots will soon be able to control machines in the physical world, a field known as physical AI. If this vision comes true, then robots that can tidy up rooms or fold clothes according to instructions will no longer be just laboratory demonstrations, and companies that manufacture bodies, motors, and joints will also benefit.
Unitree Founder Wang Xingxing ignited this round of growth at the World Physics AI Conference held in Hangzhou on October 22nd. This was the company's first partners' conference in its ten-year history. He stated that large models trained with massive amounts of data, namely chatbot-style AI systems, may make breakthroughs in the field of physics AI within a few years.

Wang Xingxing said, 'If everything goes smoothly, it will take one to two years; otherwise, it will take two to three years.'
JPMorgan Chase raised its rating on Unitree from ‘reduce holdings’ to ‘increase holdings’ on Monday. Analysts typically use this term to indicate that the proportion of shares held should be higher than the market average, and they also raised the target price to 995 yuan (149.17 US dollars). Previously, the bank believed that the company was too dependent on hardware and had weaker software capabilities. After listening to presentations by Wang Xingxing and other executives and reviewing the humanoid robot product line released by Hangzhou, the bank changed its opinion.
Unitree was listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on August 19th, which is a sector dedicated to technology companies. Its G1 humanoid robot costs approximately $16,000, which is lower than that of its competitors. Researchers have pointed out security vulnerabilities, including audio, video, and spatial data being transmitted to external servers without notifying users. However, this concept is still attractive enough to drive up its valuation.
Unitree has already been selling robots, while Tesla has just begun producing Optimus robots at its factory in Fremont, California, and is expected to start delivering them to external customers around the end of 2027. Figure AI collaborated with OpenAI on its humanoid robots as early as 2024, using OpenAI models to power those robots.
