On Wednesday, Chairman Brendan Carr announced that Committee Member Olivia Trusty will be responsible for the promotion and implementation of the Cyber Trust Mark project in the United States. Trusty will work closely with the Department of Homeland Security and Public Safety FCC as well as the project's management team to bring this voluntary cybersecurity labeling program into actual use among manufacturers and consumers.
The U.S. Cyber Trust Mark aims to help consumers identify qualified networking products that meet the cybersecurity requirements of this project. As the remaining work continues to progress, Trusty will coordinate the overall implementation, communicate with stakeholders, and make this label more useful and easier to understand for American consumers purchasing networking devices.
FCC indicates that further updates will be provided throughout the implementation process of the project. For more information regarding the US Cyber Trust Mark, please visit fcc.gov / CyberTrustMark.
