JumpCloud Makes continuous compliance in the proxy era simpler

The new platform features integrate users, devices, and AI agent management into one system, helping rapidly growing organizations to maintain an auditable state at all times.

Louisville, Colorado, October 28th / PRNewswire / -- JumpCloud Inc Today, we announce the launch of a new feature that integrates security and compliance into our daily IT operations, enabling real-time enforcement of policies among users, devices, and AI agent. JumpCloud unifies people, devices, and agent under one platform management system, helping organizations to remain in an auditable state without the need for additional staff.

As AI and agent join the human workforce, organizations need to extend security controls beyond human users. However, JumpCloud's "2026 Third Quarter IT Trend Report" finds that only 21% of organizations have implemented governance controls for non-human entities. JumpCloud integrates users, devices, and AI agent under the same set of policies, and provides continuous compliance verification.

JumpCloud, the Senior Vice President of Products, stated: "The compliance level of AI and agent depends on the people behind them and the devices on which they operate. Therefore, we are building JumpCloud to ensure that all three aspects are governed together. When someone changes positions or leaves the company, their access rights should be automatically updated, and there should be provable records left behind. Currently, not everyone who is involved in this work is included in the organizational structure diagram, but they all need to be accounted for in your audits."

JumpCloud helps the busy IT team stay compliant in three simple ways:

  • View access gaps: Identify shadow devices IT, AI, agent and unmanaged devices.
  • Maintain access security: Manage identities and devices under the same set of policies.
  • Simplified auditing: Automated access to changes and evidence collection, saving time for IT and security teams.

Datafy System Administrator Matt Lemon stated: "The centralized identity management of JumpCloud and the MDM solution help us meet the requirements of SOC 2 by providing identity management on devices and enabling us to enforce security policies remotely."

Companies typically use different tools for identity management, device management, and compliance purposes. This can lead to gaps between systems, requiring the IT team to manually collect evidence. JumpCloud integrates these functions to reduce complexity and help teams demonstrate that security controls are effective.

New capabilities that promote JumpCloud to achieve continuous compliance include:

  • Workflow Automation: Automate lifecycle processes, exit procedures, and policy corrections across all identities and devices.
  • Automated compliance reporting: Generates real-time audit reports and continuous logs, and maps them to the regulatory frameworks for users, devices, and agent.
  • Agentic IAM: Fully visualize and track the lifecycle of agent and non-human identities.
  • Risk Detection: Real-time identification of high-risk logins, non-human behavior, and unauthorized access changes.
  • Continuous audit trail: Links each human and non-human action with verified identities to support audits for SOC, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and NIS2.
  • Device Trust: Use conditional access policies ( CAP ) that are supported to prevent unmanaged or poorly maintained devices from accessing company data.
  • Privileged Access Management ( PAM ): Provides isolated identities and time-limited credentials for administrators and agent deployments. (Coming soon: December 2026)
