This new partnership has expanded the corporate sales channels of Vuzix and created opportunities for the wider adoption of smart glasses in the markets of business automation and employee modernization.

Rochester, New York, October 27, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Vuzix ® Corporation (Nasdaq: VUZI) (hereinafter referred to as “Vuzix” or “the Company”) is a supplier of AI driven smart glasses, smart glasses waveguides, and optical data center interconnects for co-packaging, as well as related augmented reality technologies. The Company announced today that it has signed a distribution agreement with Commercial Electronics Systems (“CES”), a value-added distributor based in Denver, and has received a first-order payment for a six-figure amount of Vuzix LX1 smart glasses, with shipping having already begun in accordance with this order.

CES has over 20 years of experience in serving commercial customers in the fields of security, fire protection, and related technical infrastructure. The company plans to leverage these customer relationships to introduce Vuzix smart glasses to customer environments where hands-free information retrieval, remote support, and integrated digital work processes can bring significant operational benefits. By incorporating Vuzix smart glasses into its newly established Automation and Intelligent Infrastructure department, CES intends to offer wearable technology as part of a broader plan for automation, operational efficiency, and employee productivity improvement.

Commercial Electronics Systems CEO Gary Smith stated: "We are delighted to collaborate with Vuzix as we launch the Automation and Intelligent Infrastructure departments of CES. We look forward to jointly helping customers take the next step in their automation journey."

Vuzix, President and CEO, stated: "We are very pleased to welcome Commercial Electronics Systems as a new distribution partner. What is particularly encouraging is that this partnership has brought a meaningful first order right from the start. What makes this opportunity particularly interesting for us is that CES is not just interested in reselling smart glasses. They are building a broader automated business around customer needs, and we believe that the LX1 platform can play an important role in this strategy."

This agreement represents another step forward for Vuzix in expanding its business by collaborating with mature channel partners that have direct access to commercial customers. By working with organizations that can identify customer needs, support integration, and manage deployments, Vuzix aims to increase market coverage while maintaining a prudent approach to sales and business development.

As an example, customer Merge Solutions is using Vuzix M400 smart glasses, which, through its MERGE POV (including Point, of, and View) system, support new medical applications. Merge Solutions indicates that this technology has been successfully used in multiple surgical procedures, including real-time transmission of X-ray images. Its MergeViewer software also enables a remote medical device representative to control each of the smart glasses' microphones, speakers, and cameras separately. The aforementioned surgical applications demonstrate that technology partners can build specialized solutions around Vuzix smart glasses, which may open up more opportunities for medical assessments, broader deployment, and subsequent hardware requirements.

Overall, the distribution partnership of CES and the medical applications of Merge Solutions demonstrate two complementary paths for corporate growth: one is to expand customer reach through channel partners, and the other is to develop specialized solutions with technical partners.
